About JANVS
JANVS (Latin name, in English; pronounced "Janus") was the Roman deity of transitions, beginnings, ends, and entryways. Long ago, JANVS was honored at the start of every roman religious feast. Now, the development team has taken on the JANVS name to honor those same moments in our real estate development process.
Focusing on medium-term value-added or distressed turnaround opportunities; JANVS only engages in projects where we can leverage our expertise to transition sites to a new beginning and maximize value.
Youssef Mina - Principal
With almost a decade of real estate experience and a proven track record of successful projects; Youssef focuses on and executes value-added developments in the residential and commercial markets. Starting with the successful repositioning of commercial properties in Cairo and continuing with developments in Paris and New York; Youssef has continuously worked to bring out value from the built environment around us.
An NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate alumnus, with a specialty in land use and development, Youssef additionally holds a Bachelor of Arts in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the American University in Paris.
As an accomplished project manager - Youssef acts as the development principal - coordinating the development team to push JANVS' developments from conception to acquisition, to development, to successful exit.
When not looking for the next opportunity; Youssef is an avid rower, Formula 1 fan (Williams racing), watch enthusiast, and traveler.
Development Team
JANVS operates on a bespoke project model, bringing together architects, brokers, engineers, contractors, and other specialists relevant to a project as needed.
Due to the range of projects undertaken in various markets, each development has different needs, requiring different sets of expertise - each development team will be unique. Though in most cases, all members of the development team will have an established track record of cooperation and have completed several successful projects together.
